The Crooked Hill project involved the front, back and canyon for this northwest Austin mountainside home. In the front we used a NATIVE planting strategy inspired by the savannah edge condition, contained within by STEEL planter bays. To deal with a severe slope, we constructed steel terraced steps that wind down to a dining patio, passing over a water channel via a steel grate. RAINWATER is redirected in steel runnels to be harvested in a stone cistern.
