Landscape + Garden, Inc. Ecological/Design+Build INTERDIGITATION PROJECT
In nature, vegetative interdigitation occurs at the TRANSITION between two ecological typologies that become expressed as interlocking or INTERFOLDING plant communities demonstrating a distinct, ephemeral edge-effect. Dappled shade, along with native SABAL PALM set into Mexican River Stones among mounded fingers of turf grass creates the effect in this project. STL BOX benches are set into the rippling gray gravel within the LADRILLOS radius pattern.
